  CAM Requirements:

 

Files required.

A Gerber layer for each layer of the board is required. E.g.
For a Double sided board with solder resist & annotation the following files would be required:

  • Top layer

  • Bottom layer

  • Solder resist.

  • Silk screen.

  • Aperture table.

  • Drilling information (Nc drill file ).

  • Always include a readme file for identification.

If the board is a multilayer then include a file for each inner layer plus the above files.

             

  • we prefer Gerber RS-274-X. Gerber data contains all of the X & Y coordinates of pad positions and the coordinates for the start and end of traces. These are preceded by codes to tell the photoplotter what it should do with these coordinates. The two most common instructions are "Flash" and "Draw".

 

  • if you use one of the following CAD software for your PCB layout, we will accept the software's file format directly.

  • Protel SE(PCB and DDB)

  • Protel Autotrax /Easy trax (PCB).

  • Orcad Layout (Max).

  • Cad Soft EAGLE (BRD).

  • Gerber and drill files would be generated in-house at no additional submission by your CAD format is always preferred over Gerber Submission. It allows us to work at much faster pace as we can standardize on CAM files.

 

  • Other acceptable formats:
     

    • HPGL

    • DXF
